Henning Kaltheuner started to build, repair and modify audio equipment at the age of 15, mixing first recordings of his band at the age of 19. While studying psychology at the University of Cologne, he worked as a freelance sound engineer, and for more than 20 years, he has taken different roles in live sound engineering, technical service, technical management of rental companies and own product designs. In 1999 he founded Teqsas, a company for integrated services for Pro Audio customers and manufacturers. A close collaboration with Yamaha on digital console system solutions led him to take an assignment at Yamaha R&D as Product Planning Manager in 2004. Henning has been directly involved in the development and product management of digital mixing consoles and DSP processors. In 2010, he took over a new assignment at Riedel Communications as Head of Product Management where he further specialised in media networking systems.
Because of his background in psychology, market research about customer needs has been a strong focus throughout all these positions. Since 2013, Henning is Head of Market Intelligence at d&b audiotechnik. In this role, he is responsible for gathering deep market insights about brand and product perception, trends and market requirements.
